Water Ask Arvada

The City of Arvada supplements the natural occurrence of fluoride in its drinking water supplies from seasonal averages of 0.15 - 0.3 mg/l to 0.9 mg/l.  In 1967, the citizens of Arvada passed a referendum mandating the fluoridation of the drinking water system. The City follows the guidelines set forth by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for the fluoridation of public water systems; those guidelines set the fluoride level for this region at 0.9 mg/l.  For additional information about the source and quality of the City of Arvada water supply, please visit the City of Arvada Water Quality Division web page, or call 720-898-7822.
