Police Department Ask Arvada

Car Lighting Systems

Neon and L.E.D. lighting systems under your car are legal in Arvada, so long as they do not have red or blue lighting (reserved for police and fire only) or have white or bright (dazzling or glaring as the law reads) lights shining from the rear that may be hazardous to vehicle behind you.

Other cities may have banned these and if so, you can't drive in those cities with them on.  This could change in the future but for now if you use good common sense it won't be a problem.  If you have questions please submit a service request.
