Three major areas make up the Ralston Fields District -
1) The former Ridge Home site which was transformed into a transit-oriented, mixed-used development. The 68-acre project includes a 260,000 sq. ft. retail center anchored by a SuperTarget; 380- unit market rate, multifamily development situated on 15 acres located at the Arvada Ridge Gold Line rail station and 11 acres north of the rail station that will likely be a mix of residential and commercial uses, linking the commuter rail station to Red Rocks Community College.
2) The dated shopping centers in the vicinity of 58th Avenue and Independence, referred to as Ralston Creek, formerly known as the Triangle Area. The Ralston Creek Urban Renewal Project, which includes the demolition of the Arvada Plaza Shopping Center and a new Walmart store in the area, continues in progress. Arvada Ralston Creek is anchored by the newly renovated Ralston -Central Park/Hoskinson Park on the east and the Stenger/Lutz Sports comlex on the west.
3) AURA formed a project area named the ""Village Commons"" in 2008. The three-acre site lies within a quarter mile of the future transit station for the Gold Line and is located directly south of Olde Town. This project area plans for a hotel. Olde Town Station Urban Renewal Plan: The new urban renewal area would surround FasTracks' future transit stop in Olde Town and would enable AURA to plan and prepare for the arrival of the commuter rail in 2016. AURA's focus will be on implementing the existing Arvada Transit Station Framework Plan.
