Dog Licenses

Effective July 1, 2007 - Arvada requires that all dogs become licensed within 30 days of acquisition or upon moving into the city. A dog license may be obtained through the Foothills Animal Shelter or any of the police community stations. A complete registration form and fees must be presented at that time. Please see link to The Foothills Animal Shelter to download registration forms or call them at 303-278-7575. Proof of current rabies vaccination and spay/neuter must accompany this registration. In lieu of written documentation, your veterinary clinic may complete the designated area on the license registration Licenses must be worn on the dog's collar at all times. Cats are now required to wear a current rabies tag on their collar at all times Although not mandatory, cats can also be licensed with the Foothills Animal Shelter.
